Admission to the Cinco de Mayo celebration is free, and parking is readily available.

Southern Hill Farms AdventHealth U-Run U-Pick Blueberry 5K

Join us for the 10th Annual Blueberry 5K at Southern Hill Farms. Experience Central Florida’s original Blueberry 5K at the AdventHealth U Run U Pick Blueberry 5K on April 27, 2024. Sommer Sports hosts this event, and registration is required with limited space available. You can register here.

Experience Clermont’s pristine clay roads and Southern Hill Farms Florida fresh blueberries at the AdventHealth U-Run U-Pick Blueberry 5K by Sommer Sports! After the race enjoy a complimentary pancake breakfast and go out and pick a pint container of blueberries.

Amenities:
Super cool themed finisher medal, T-shirt with unique design, chip timing, blueberry pancake breakfast and a pint of u-pick blueberries (virtual participants excluded from pancake breakfast and u-pick blueberries).

Southern Hill Farms Sunrise Yoga

Join us for sunrise yoga and find your zen on the farm this season. Spend your morning with a good workout, a Southern Hill Farms blueberry mimosa and fresh-picked local berries.

Relax, breathe, stretch, and enjoy the fresh air during our 60-minute yoga class with experienced Yoga Alliance certified instructor Rachael Jones. The instructor will offer modifications and/or challenges throughout the class, making it suitable for all experience levels. These classes are geared toward a gentle flow. A blueberry mimosa is included at the end of class with your ticket purchase (must be 21 and older, regular blueberry lemonade can be substituted).

Tickets for Sunrise Yoga are available here and include a 60-minute yoga class, one clamshell of u-pick berries, and one blueberry mimosa OR blueberry lemonade.

Class will begin promptly at 7 a.m. Please bring your own water bottle, towel, and yoga mat, they will not be provided by Southern Hill Farms. Please note that this event is subject to change or cancellation due to inclement weather. If we cancel this class, you can transfer your ticket to another date, or we will refund you in the original form of payment.

Southern Hill Farms Scout Day

Scout Day is a special day for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts to visit one of our u-pick events at Southern Hill Farms and earn a Southern Hill Farms Patch! Farmer David will share the “Farm to Table” process with the young leaders. While attending, the scouts and their families will have the opportunity to pick seasonal crops and enjoy all of the farm’s offerings. After the educational programming, the scouts are welcome to enjoy the Kid Zone, which features our jump pillows, giant fun slide, cyclone swing, inflatable obstacle course, rock wall, bounce house, inflatable sports games & more!

Troop Leader Information
REGISTRATION
To register your troop, please visit https://southernhillfarms.ticketspice.com/scout-day-at-southern-hill-farms. Please read through this form carefully and thoroughly to ensure you understand our policies and regulations. DO NOT send the registration form to the parents of your troop members. Troop leaders are the only ones eligible to register their troops. Please contact Jen at jennifer.hosler@southernhillfarms.com if there are any additions to your numbers after registration.

ADMISSION
The troop leader is responsible for paying the admission fee for each of their troop members. Payments will be made via the registration form.

Admission Fee: $25 per scout

Fee Includes: Educational Programming, (1) Seasonal Southern Hill Farms Donut (1) Southern Hill Farms Blueberry Lemonade, (1) Southern Hill Farms Patch, (1) Unlimited Play Kid Zone Wristband

CHECK IN
Troop leaders and their scouts will check in at the Greeter Barn between 2:00 – 2:30 PM. Once checked in, each scout will be given a Kid Zone wristband and a ticket for a glass of blueberry lemonade. Troop leaders are responsible for gathering their troop members. “Farm to Table” will begin at 2:30 PM.

KID ZONE WAIVER
Before each scout can receive a Kid Zone wristband, a parent or legal guardian must sign a waiver on their behalf. Waivers will be available at check-in. Troop leaders cannot sign the form for members without representation. If a parent or guardian will not be in attendance, it is the troop leader’s responsibility to obtain a waiver and have it signed in advance. Please contact Jen at jennifer.hosler@southernhillfarms.com with this specific request.

FAMILIES
If the families of your troop members would like to attend, they are more than welcome! Advanced registration is not required for siblings. Siblings not belonging to a troop may purchase Unlimited Play wristband for the Kid Zone onsite for $18 if they are under 42″ tall and $22 if they are above 42″ tall. A waiver must be signed and fee must be paid at check in.

SAFETY
The safety and security of your troop is of the utmost importance to us. We encourage you to tell your scouts to dress appropriately for outdoor activity, including close-toed shoes, a hat and/or sunscreen, and loose, cool, weather appropriate clothing. Scout Day will be held rain or shine, so please pay attention to the weather and prepare accordingly.

BADGES
Southern Hill Farms will not be providing any specific badge earning activities. If you would like to include a badge for this activity, it is your responsibility to ensure your troops meet the specific guidelines of the badge you choose.

SHF PATCH
Each troop member will receive a Southern Hill Farms Patch. This patch cannot be purchased separately and is only available to those who participate in Scout Day. We will give the patches to the registered troop leaders after the presentation.

Clermont Garden Club’s Spring Festival, May 4

The Clermont Garden Club’s annual Spring Garden Festival is on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Clermont Garden Club located at 849 West Avenue in Historic Downtown Clermont, FL. Vendors and local nurseries will sell a variety of different products from bamboo, tropical plants, apparel, glass flower art, etc. to meet the needs of the gardening public. There will be a small free “make-and-take” project for kids. Tickets for member-created raffle baskets will also be available. Bring a friend, bring a wagon and shop! Remember that Mother’s Day is coming on May 12th!

Van Gogh: Painter of Sunflowers

Spend Wednesdays this April at the LCFA learning more about one of the world’s most beloved artists, Vincent van Gogh. This four-part lecture series takes participants beyond the sunflowers to discuss the man behind the canvas whose powerful creative legacy continues to impact the world in the 21st century.

Toastmasters International, established in 1924, is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to helping members improve their communication and leadership skills. Clermont Toastmasters is part of an organization with more than 280,000 members in 14,700 clubs across countries. 

Toastmasters help members deliver their message clearly, concisely, and with confidence. Meetings usually last about 90 minutes.  Anyone 18 and older can join the club and visitors are always welcome!

Minneola, Fla – On Friday, June 10 at 11 am join entertainer Todd Kay for magic, juggling and laugh-out-loud antics. Todd will amaze with card tricks, circus skills, audience participation and impressive mime routines.

Join us every Friday from June 10 through July 15 for Summer Reading fun from 11 am to 12 noon at the Minneola City Hall Gym at 800 US-27, Minneola, FL. The events are geared toward kids ages 2-11, but all ages are welcome. Each week we have performers or activities to engage, delight and entertain. Come share in the fun at city hall and the library! The Chick-Fil-A Christmas Spectacular Light Up the Citrus Tower Ceremony took place on Friday, November 26, at 7 pm. The show will then continue every night through the end of the year between 6 pm-10 pm.
The Citrus Tower stands 226 feet tall and the twinkling lights can be seen from miles away on all four sides. The spectacular event is FREE for the whole family!
